The India Meteorological Department has forecast a surge in rainfall across Telangana starting Friday, with heavy rain predicted over northern and eastern districts including Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagitial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem.
These regions are likely to witness intense precipitation over the next 48 hours. Authorities in these districts are closely monitoring the situation and may initiate precautionary measures depending on ground reports and waterlogging alerts.
Elsewhere across the state, moderate showers are anticipated, with overcast skies and intermittent rainfall expected to dominate the weather pattern. The IMD noted that cloudy conditions and scattered rain could persist over the weekend.
In Hyderabad, brief drizzles are expected through the first half of the day. Light to moderate rainfall may follow by evening and continue into the night.
